At the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Center in Russia, the world witnessed the spectacular opening ceremony of the “Games of the Future” — an international event where sports, science, education, and advanced technology converge into a next-generation immersive experience.
Designed around the vision of future entertainment and digital interaction, the ceremony combined large-scale stage engineering with cutting-edge visual technologies to create a truly cinematic atmosphere.
Transparent Glass Cubes Powered by Holographic LED Technology
At the center of the stage, three transparent glass cubes emerged as one of the event’s most iconic visual installations. Built with Muxwave M3 Series Holographic Invisible LED Screens featuring double-sided mounting technology, the structures seamlessly fused transparent media with dynamic digital content, delivering stunning naked-eye AR visuals with exceptional depth and realism.
The lightweight and highly transparent LED modules enabled the cubes to be integrated into suspended and movable stage structures, unlocking new creative possibilities for kinetic stage performance and immersive storytelling.
Wireless Power Solution for Moving LED Installations
To support the mobility of the installation, the project team engineered an independent wireless power solution inspired by technology previously deployed during the closing ceremony of the 2018 FIFA World Cup. Using 18 portable battery systems, both the LED screens and media servers operated without external power connections, enabling up to 45 minutes of uninterrupted playback and extended standby operation throughout rehearsals and live performance.
Large-Scale Projection Mapping and Immersive Visual Systems
Beyond the transparent display installation, the ceremony integrated multiple advanced visual systems. Sixteen laser projectors created a 64-meter-wide ultra panoramic digital canvas with a resolution of 12,800 × 1,080 pixels, while robotic-arm-mounted projection systems generated large-scale 3D mapped human visuals that became another defining moment of the show.
